Cherub FTS
Materials: metal sheet, saw, accenting wire, and metal wire Year: 2019 Class: 3D Mixed Media The reason I made this piece was because graffiti inspires me most. I started drawing and getting into art seriously after watching a video of a graffiti artist who goes by the name Ghost EA. Of course, every graffiti artist needs a name. I spent day and night thinking about what my name should be. A word between 3-7 letters that would represent me as an artist. Every word I looked at from then on I thought, "Hmm, can this be my name?" I was writing a list and looking for words when I stumbled upon angel. I thought this would be a good representation of me but I wanted a different word. So, that's how I found it, Cherub. That was a few years ago and the name has stuck around since then. I made this piece to represent me. I made a design of a C which stands for cherub. Then I stuck it to a sheet of metal and sawed out the shape. I filed, sanded, then waxed it. After that was done I made the necklace with coil links and eye pin links. Lastly, I connected the pendant and the necklace. This necklace means that my artist name will always be a part of me that I'll never forget.

Destructive Love
Materials: acrylic paint, mat boards, watercolor tape, and paper mache Year: 2019 Class: 3D Mixed Media I chose this theme because love is something that is really important to me. Family is the most important thing to me. My Dad used to be a big part of my life, as well as my Grandma who was practically a Mom. With them being gone, I can truly only live for my brother, sister, and Mom. I used paper mache and matte boards to construct the 3D letters on the canvas. Then I painted it blending different colors. My art means that love will always have the power to kill. But, what are we without love?

Family Angels
Materials: white Christmas lights and family photos Year: 2019 Class: 3D Mixed Media At first I was going to make this project with only lights. I was going to form a helix shape with the lights and have that be it. However, I was inspired by some family photos to make it more meaningful. These pictures that were laying around my house inspired me to show how magical my family has made my life. I hung the lights in my closet and placed some family photos on the floor. The meaning is that my family are the light of my life and they make it magical. The image of my Dad taped in the circle shows that he was a big part of my life but he will never be a part of our family again no matter how much I love him.
